Farm Happenings

We continue to collect wood just in case winter does eventually come. Our wood shed is nearly finished; it has taken quite a long time to build, most likely because we have been using the wood in it’s construction from that which we have lying about and though it might not be perfectly suitable we make it work anyway. We also go out of our way to avoid using power tools, but sometimes do use the table saw for cutting long thin strips which are used to hold the plastic covering tight to the frame. The mild conditions have been beneficial to us and the animals. We don’t have to feed out as much hay as when the temperature is lower and the winds are biting cold, and all of us, humans, horses, cows and sheep are very much more comfortable under these nice (for this time of the year) conditions. We are started on our planning for the upcoming season, , so we are busier than ever, hopefully we can put up some photos next week.
