Another exciting week, big snowstorm, big digout, small warmup, sunny weather, windy weather, cold weather, wood gathered, pathway to wood prepared, wood cut, wood split, wood burned (lots of it, constantly during waking hours) and we probably did other things and other things also likely happened.
I have 10 pictures that I’d like to post here but sometimes WordPress seems to baulk at too many and I don’t know what number too many is, and, I am not sure in what order these will appear or even if the descriptions will appear or if I can add something after but … we’ll see. The edit page looks O.K. , maybe it will be the same when it’s posted.
The big snow on Friday, the horses didn’t move from this spot all day. A bit of shelter here and plenty of feed hay they didn’t even bother to come up for a drink.
This spot has appeared in our posts before. The tree in the background centre is the old oak with the nifty large hole for kids to crawl in at the base and to the right, closer, is the kids climbing tree.
T%he camera swung just a bit to the left from the picture with the oak and climbing tree. These photos of course taken on Fri.
Nice little red cedaralso appears about exactly almost nearly in the middle of the photo “swung to the left.”
The day after looking down our laneway which is somewhere under the snow.
Aerron on the snow dump starting to clear the laneway
The snowdump is full and now the horses are taking it off to the side.
The foot pedal trips the scoop and the blade lifts dumping the snow and Aerron now heads the team back to grab another load
Digging in for another load. Is it clear how the thing works?
Down at the bottom of the hill scooping up another load. It works great.
